Evora: Can you tell us a little bit about your organization, what you do and how long you've been in business?

Valhalla: We are a family owned and operated cannabis facility. We pride ourselves on craft cannabis. We've been operational since 2021. Rainbow Lava is our first to the market. It's a unique strain to Valhalla, which is kind of exciting. We've got a few up and coming strains that are about to come out that are exclusive to us and we are just getting bigger and better at growing.

 

E: Can you tell us about some of the challenges you've faced with seed-to-sale software? What led you to start exploring alternative seed-to-sale solutions and why was Evora was the right choice?

V: The biggest thing for us is support, because nothing in this industry is easy. Everything has been a challenge since day one coming into this industry, and working with companies that do not offer support, has been the biggest downfall with using other software. Your support through all of these systems, and keeping us compliant is always a phone call or text away, so that is key to us.

The previous programs didn’t aid in reporting like Evora does, so that was a huge factor. Recording was amended time after time because it wasn’t accurate.

Yeah, and there's not much that you, you're the Evora program doesn't offer and anything that you guys don't offer you guys have been fantastic at creating it for us.

E: Great. That's awesome to hear! Will you be using the the quality management system in Evora?

V: Yeah, I like that it covers a lot of areas like cleaning and calibrations, and a lot more than just inventory. We just put our SOPs in there and I’m going to put in our SDS next.

E: Are there any features that you’re using that you think sets us apart from other software providers?

V: Yeah, I think definitely like that the SOP's in there are very helpful. I don't know if we'll utilize the deviation and that kind of section because we don't get too many of those, but for reporting it's amazing obviously.

E: Product costing is a recent feature that we have released and are continuing to develop. Is that something you think would be beneficial to Valhalla in the future?

V: Absolutely. That would be amazing because it just gives us the ability to understand how much it actually costs to operate our facility. I know the owners for sure would love to see that much detail on running this facility daily.

 

E: Can you talk us through the ease of completing the monthly reporting within Evora and any challenges or pain points you've encountered during this process?

V: I think when we first came on it was a bit more of a struggle just because I was still learning how to use it, but the last few reports have been like literally one click, so that’s really amazing. And I like how it also brings it down for the CRA as well.

The last program we worked with you literally had to enter each individual number and even somebody who is extremely well trained in that department has the ability to make mistakes.

So that's huge to be able to have it to the point of clicking a button and everything, as long as everything being entered is correct, then we're very confident with our reports.

E: That's great. And so the CRA report, that’s the B300 report, right?

V: Yes!

 

E: Is there anything that you think that makes our product or service unique and how, how is partnering with us helped to support your operations and your your business goals and growth?

V: I just think that your program offers more than the average program does, which again can be a little bit intimidating because it's a lot to learn. But once you get a grip on it and we don't plan on ever changing software companies at this point because we've been through three in two years and it's a lot, I just think that you guys offer more.

I should definitely say this to me it's a lot about layout. I'm not a big computer person, I'm a cultivation person. I'm part of the family so I appreciate the ability to navigate Evora versus other programs we've used.

Yeah. I think the biggest thing it's done for the company is helping compliance. I am 100% confident that our reports are accurate and I can go in and see where those numbers came from. It's easy to like navigate through start to finish in a batch.

E: So looking ahead, what are the the key initiatives or projects Valhalla is working on or planning for the future and and how do you see Evora being a part of that?

V: Well, we're going to branch off and start doing a lot more of our own strains, so being able to see the cost that it goes into growing each strain and how much volume we're going to get to that like if eventually we have cost of product in there and stuff that's interesting to kind of see you know what she each strain yields at, everything's very, very different in that sense.

I also really love the like shipping and sales portion of it. And with our Micro license, it's gonna make things really easy to track our shipments to and from our micro between our sites. So really think that's gonna benefit us in the future.
